I went out west with Hubby...he needed to get his license out there and it happen to be where my Mom is. So, while he was testing, Mom and I went shopping, out to lunch at our favorite place and over to see my nephews. It was a great 4 days, but then it was time to come back. I was glad to get into my own bed and be in my own house, but I missed Mom, the dry air and the mountains. My nephew Andrew and my Brother took us to Andrew's Cub Scout car race. The car had to be less than 5 ozs and had to be made by father & son (you know how that goes). He didn't win the race, but did get Most Futuristic Car Award and a medal!
Mom is doing much better. Her hair is starting to grow in...stubble right now, but she's looking forward to seeing how it grows back in. No more chemo, right now, she is on Herceptin every 3 weeks for the next 8 months. The side affects to this drug are chills and fatigue for the first 3 days.....this did indeed hit her. But it is much better than the extreme pain in every joint for 2 weeks with the chemo.
Well this month is pretty much gone.... I swear the older I get the faster time flies by. This month is gone and I don't know where it went.
Have a great weekend!
