Hellooo again
These pictures are of the plants and flowers in our front yard. Also the deck...Hubby made the hangers since they wanted $20.00 for a single hook hanger. It was easier for him to make them. HA! The last picture is of the new garden...we are experimenting with this....our last one became so overgrown with weeds, our backs gave out trying to keep it weeded...I saw this idea somewhere, so hubby built it. What a relief on our backs! Now we can weed standing up (the planter tubs are about 3 1/2 feet high) and the gophers can't get into them and eat the roots! YAY! So we planted bush beans, lettuce, cukes, tomatoes (only 1 plant, the other 3 plants are on the deck in a planter) peppers, and broccoli....we will see if they produce this way. It's worth a try...weeding is a breeze!
It's been raining the last week off and on...more on than off but we needed it. I love thunderstorms and the clean smell after a good rain. Fresh start it seems. Brides say that rain is bad luck, but I look at it as a cleansing of the two peoples lives that are getting married...they are getting their past lives washed away, sort of, and starting fresh with the new union. Just my way of looking at it.
Guess what! We get to have Gage for a month this summer!! It's been 2 years! He's 12 now and wanted to spend the whole summer, but 1 month it is. I am soooo excited! I have only seen him x2 in the last 2 years...not enough for a Nana. Can't wait! Will take lots of pictures as usual. School is out June 10th here, which is Thursday and Gage comes July 6th. So now I must clean out his room, which has become the catch all room and my sewing area. lol
Well everyone...have a safe and happy summer!
