Memorial at Grassy Knoll...Went to spend 3 days with my friend Stacy October 26th. She's a sweetheart. Had so much fun and saw so much in just a short time. Not enough days of course. Next time we'll have more time.
1st after getting off the plane, checking into the hotel, we went to eat and then to see Tina Turner in concert...supposedly there were no pictures allowed...it was even posted on the outside of the building, everywhere....and of course I forgot my cell phone at the hotel....but well, everyone took pictures, except me. Whaaaa Tina Turner was terrific. At 69 years young one would think she was in her 40's. Looking good Tina! and her voice is as good as it ever was. She sang all oldies and even dressed in the Thunderdome costume and sang the Mad Max songs. Phenominal. I bought a t-shirt and picture booklet. The ages of people were 80 to 14 from what I saw, it was so exciting to see an icon.
When we got up the next morning, we went to Fort Worth to see Longhorn Cattle at the Stockyard Station. I've never seen such long horns before...man oh man...spent the rest of the morning looking through shops and visiting during lunch.
After lunch we went back to Dallas to see the JFK museum which is in the Book Depository Building...we traveled the same route that JFK did that day and stood on the grassy knoll where those other shots came from. There is even an X on the street where it happened. Such a needless tragedy.
We were up until 1:30 am each night yakking...but isn't that what girls do on sleepovers? LOL LOL I had a great time and can't wait until next time.
Thanks for everything Stacy! Loved it!
