It's 0930am and today IS a better day. I have taken all my morning medications plus Tylenol for the pounding headache (I don't get headaches just so you know). My hips hardly ache at all and my nausea is pretty much gone....right now. I have been up and showered and done my hair and brushed my teeth. Yesterday all I could do was brush my teeth...have to get that fur coat off of the toofers and the tongue ya know...LOL LOL
The hospital people said that from the time you get the chemo and the Neulasta, it'll take 4-6 days to feel human.....today is day 4. I feel human or at least mostly human.
I am not going to over do it, but I must get out of the bed. I love my bed and I don't want to start to hate it.
My Hubby has been by my side the last 5 weeks taking wonderful care of me. This morning he went and got me a latte' and the morning paper. He made dinner last night and most other nights too (I seem to be able to handle Mexican food and bagels pretty well) and then cleaned the kitchen. Dear GOD thank you for him. He has been there for me the whole time. How many men could change the dressings without batting an eye and then hug you with such love and compassion? We are able to talk about what-if's and what the future holds, although we don't go much beyond the next couple of treatments right now.
We are strong together.... because of the past, maybe, because of this, maybe, but I believe it is because we are soulmates....that I truly believe.
