2nd Chemo

This was taken March 12th...little did I know that by the 13th(below) would develope into.....

I started losing my hair the 13th before chemo time, so hubby shaved my head. (:o) I now realize what hair is for. Not only is it your crowning glory, it keeps your head and back of your neck warm. I didn't wear my hair up much because my ears and back of my neck got cold. But my new look is my new look until it grows back in, which I hope it comes back in a little thicker and have some curl to it. Before I couldn't even wear a barrett...it would slide right out, maybe with some thickness and curl well one can only hope.

The chemo infusion lasted a bit longer this time...she said it would be better for me...maybe no headache or at least one that isn't so harsh. It worked. I now have one that comes and goes but is nothing like last time. That is wonderful. The nausea isn't as bad this time either....they gave me another medication for it and that is helping.

Went and got my Nulasta shot today....this gal was not as gentle as the other or I'm just more skin sensitive....the team suggested that I take an Ativan before getting chemo and shot next time....I think they're right. A little weepy this time around for just a short minute...maybe because I know what to expect now and then losing my hair on top of that, makes it all seem more real you know?...soon I won't have to shave my legs anymore YAY... for 4 months anyway. But I must admit...showering and then just wiping my head dry sure was nice. LOL LOL I still have my eyebrows for a bit though. Sure would be nice if I didn't lose them.

Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate them greatly.

Have a great week!
