I haven't posted in a bit due to the fact that I have been KNITTING and CROCHETING! A friend showed me how to do this and I have been a knitting fool. I made hats and scarves for Mom for when she loses her hair and scarves to keep her neck warm. I already sent them..... 2 scarves and 3 hats. Now I'm going to start a shawl. One of those long ones that you have seen that are fashionable. I like them too. So I think I'll make me one too. The reason it has taken me so long to do these is.....I've had to rip them out 4-6 times before getting it right. That was frustrating and I still do that with crocheting. Being a beginner...that's the problem for me....fixing the mistakes. Anyway it's been fun and I have totally immeshed myself in this. So in the last month I have made these (in the picture) plus 2 more scarves and 3 hats. Oh and I made a scarf for Hubby's Mom also. If you would like one let me know...I'd be happy to make you one. Just let me know what color/colors.
I talked with Gage and he had a very successful Halloween. His grandfather took him out and about and Gage's costume was.... 007 Secret Agent Man. He loved it. If I get pictures I will post them. I wish I could have been there.
The weather has been weird.....one day cold and gloomy and the next bright and sunny and warm. I've heard that we are in for a hard winter and then heard it'll be a winter like it has the past 6 years...more like a Nevada/Idaho winter....maybe one good snow or a couple of little snows. Wish I knew one way or the other.
I have started my Xmas shopping........that's weird for me...I usually wait until after Thanksgiving. Where are you on your shopping?
Mom gets her second dose of chemo Tuesday the 14th. Then another in 21 days. She has already started to lose her hair.
